EPTA CELEBRATES A NEW MILESTONE IN ENERGY EFFICIENCY AT THE AUCHAN KORZÓ HYPERMARKET OF MAGLÓD IN HUNGARY
Epta celebrates a new milestone in energy efficiency, achieved at Auchan Korzó of Maglód, a town in the metropolitan area of Budapest, in the months following the completion of the XTE installation (Extra Transcritical Efficiency), carried out in collaboration with Energy Recovery Inc.
The use of the innovative refrigeration system, patented with concession number IT202200020811, has ensured an average measured saving of 15%, up to a temperature of 42°C, as shown by the data gathered and processed in a significant interval of operating conditions, starting from the different external seasonal temperatures.
Demo 19, within the scope of the European project ENOUGH, is the installation which represents one of the first application studies of XTE, demonstrating the excellent performance in the area of the system in operation, here integrated with one of the two modular power packs for large surfaces ECO2Large which make up the customized Transcritical CO2 system of 285 kW overall and intended to revolutionise the Cold chain in Large-Scale Retail trade.
A SUCCESS STORY FROM THE NUMBERS THAT MATTER
A case of absolute success, the store of Maglód distinguishes itself for numbers that matter: the 10,000 m2 of sales surface host 24 spaces at a controlled temperature intended for storage of fresh foods and frozen foods, renewed by Epta through retrofit interventions with 35 new evaporators and 131 remote cabinets, multiplexed with each other and with the refrigeration packs by 5 km of copper pipes.
Epta ensures high standards of excellence in every department, thanks to natural cutting-edge refrigeration solutions branded Costan and Eurocryor.
The models installed in the hypermarket include:
- The vertical positive GranVista Next and the semivertical GranValdaj and GranSibari of the GranFit line branded Costan. Dedicated to pre-packaged fresh products, all three models combine perfect preservation of the products, exclusive design and excellent energy performance.
- the Twin SV cabinets of the Ambienti family of Eurocryor which, placed in the area of the fresh high value products, are distinguished by double temperature and total transparency, to benefit flexible merchandising and high visibility in the selection of cheeses, fresh and mature, and cakes of the renowned Hungarian gastronomic and patisserie tradition. Furthermore, with the goal of harmonising the new configurations of Eurocryor cabinets and Costan models, the creative team of EptaConcept was able to design an elegant layout, geared to increasing appeal and profitability in a strategic product area;
- the vertical negative GranBering of the GranFit series combined with the Tortuga Ultra wells branded Costan for excellent visual impact and immediate access to the products.
To finish, Epta confirms its role of Fully Integrated Provider also through a full package of after-sales services included in the Lifecycle Program of EptaService, for advanced diagnostics, functions of remote monitoring and predictive maintenance algorithms, conceived to support the technicians in troubleshooting processes and to extend the useful life of the installed system.
